Diagram: the system core. A central data rail runs from a source terminal to a destination terminal. Five modules dock into it: an interface layer for commerce surfaces (Miva, Shopify, TikTok Shop); a control layer for scheduling and write control; an integration core running on Node.js that holds the sync flows; a data layer for NetSuite records queried with SuiteQL; and a runtime layer of PM2 processes behind Nginx on Linux. The same information is written out in the sections below this diagram.

02 / System

I build the connections between commerce, ERP and operations.

I started in web development and moved deeper into the systems behind ecommerce — APIs, ERP integrations, automation and infrastructure. Most of what I work on now sits between customer-facing commerce and the operational systems that keep it running.

The problems I like most cross system boundaries, where the hard part isn’t the code — it’s understanding how a business actually operates before deciding what to build.

EXPLORE THE SYSTEM
  • 01

    Storefront

Miva Merchant and Shopify — templates, components, checkout and the commerce surface customers actually touch.

  • 02

    Marketplace

TikTok Shop orders resolved against real customers and SKUs before anything is written anywhere.

  • 03

    ERP

NetSuite as the system of record — sales orders, shipments, invoices, items and customers over REST and SuiteQL.

  • 04

    Automation

Scheduled work that reconciles rather than assumes: dry runs, hidden keys, and a human decision where it matters.

  • 05

    Infrastructure

PM2 processes behind Nginx on Linux, plus Docker images for the platform work.

  • 06

    Monitoring

Health and status endpoints that tell an on-call human whether something is running or actually working.

The title covers the ecommerce operations side; day to day the work is systems engineering — designing and running the integrations, automation and tooling that sit between the storefront and the systems behind it.

Where the parts come apart

Experiments — not production systems

  • Experiment

    Packet field

The Core’s processing cells, responding to a pointer.

  • Motion study

    Type in motion

Per-character staggering, the same grammar the Core separates with.

  • Prototype

    Timing playground

Duration and easing, side by side, so the tokens can be felt rather than read.
